Every bed needs a headboard! This is not only a question of décor but sometimes of functionality as there are headboards with storage spaces. I’ve rounded up some cool headboards that you can make yourself – for every décor style and any taste. Upcycling windows and doors to headboards is a great and budget-saving idea, paint and stencil the headboard as you like. Pallets are also a great material to make a headboard, whitewash it, paint, stencil or stain and voila. Pegboards and headboards with shelves are awesome for small bedrooms as they have additional storage space. Upholstered headboards are very cozy and cute, and chalkboard ones are perfect for kids’ rooms. My faves are light headboards because they create a romantic ambience and make the bedroom very inviting. Read the tutorials below and choose the headboard that suits your bedroom!
